1964 Pontiac Grand Prix 2door Hardtop / Beautifully Restored
This beautiful ’64 Grand Prix has well over $25000 in restoration receipts dating from 2012-early 2015. Why would someone put so much money into such a car. After all, this is not a ’63 Corvette Split Window Coupe or a GTO Ram Air IV. Its a really nice and respectable ’64 Pontiac Grand Prix. The Answer is: because the owner absolutely LOVED his car! To him, there was nothing better in the world. THAT is the person who owned this car. It was taken care as if it were a $2,000,000 Ferrari…. but its not. Garaged, babied and very well taken care of as the records show. Whatever went wrong, was immediately repaired without hesitation or concern for cost. This is the kind of car that the next owner will love. There is a full binder of receipts and a story behind each one. A typed history by the owner of what didnt feel right to him and the resolution. Incredible! The PHS history and window sticker are also part of the binder.
Originally sold by the Cobb Kirkland Motor Company of Montgomery Alabama and then spent most of its life in Bonita Springs Florida, it wasnt until a few weeks ago that it came to New York. This GP has been restored from top to bottom. Everything is new! New paint in the factory original color of Singapore Gold. New interior including upgrades where preferred. Rebuilt 400 engine with its original carburetor completely rebuilt, upgraded Turbo 400 Hydromatic transmission (no more Slim Jim). New air conditioning compressor upgraded to R134A is ice cold. The optional center console with vacuum gauge has been refinished as well as all of the wood veneer on the dash and door panels. I have never seen the woodwork done so well. This is not just a set of $40 pieces that you can buy in bulk. They are far better than that.
Features include power steering, power brakes, power windows, power antenna, power seats and more. There are 5 – 8 lug rims including the spare still with this GP. There are also 4 original T3 headlights still on the car… all work as they should.
This is a great looking, running and driving car in which some one took great pride in ownership. We are sure the new owner will feel the same way….
